DHA Home Affairs check
An add-on that cross-checks your identity against the Department of Home Affairs.
Last updated 2026-07-21
The DHA check adds an extra layer on top of standard identity verification: it cross-references your details against the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) record.
What it confirms
- Your ID number and details match the official Home Affairs record.
- The identity is in good standing — the check flags a mismatch or a deceased-record hit as a fraud alert, so a stolen or fabricated identity doesn't get through.
Cost and how to add it
- R50 add-on, paid through the Liivra payment gate.
- Add it from Account → Verification → DHA check.
The DHA cross-check runs against the live Home Affairs oracle at launch.
Why it's worth it
- It lifts you to the ID + DHA tier on the verification ladder — a visibly stronger badge.
- It's the strongest signal on the platform that a person is genuinely who they claim, which matters most in high-value rental and sale transactions.
A mismatch doesn't just fail quietly — it's treated as a potential fraud signal and reviewed, protecting everyone on the other side of a deal.
