Consent-first data handling — export or delete everything we hold, any time.
Last updated 2026-07-21
Liivra is built for the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) — not as an afterthought. Here's what that means for you.
Consent first
We ask before we collect or share personal information. ID documents, income verification, screening checks, and bond referrals all require your explicit opt-in. You can see every consent decision in Account → Consent log — it's the authoritative, read-only record of what you agreed to and when.
You control your data
- Export everything Liivra holds on you from Account → Settings → Data export.
- Request deletion any time. Some records are kept where FICA or SARS law requires, but everything else goes.
- Both run as real, on-demand functions — not an email you hope someone reads.
Who we share with, and why
Only the processors the service needs, only the minimum data, and only after your consent for sensitive operations — for example Smile Identity for KYC, TradeSafe for escrow, and Paystack/Ozow for payments. We never sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
Your contact stays private
Your phone number and email are never exposed on public profiles or listings. All contact runs through Liivra, so scammers can't harvest your details.
For any privacy question, email privacy@liivra.com. The full detail is in the POPIA Statement.
